Frequently Asked Questions
What types of therapy do you offer for individuals?
I provide attachment-based, psychoanalytic, and trauma-informed therapy for individuals in Parker, CO and online throughout Colorado.
My work integrates:
Attachment-based therapy
Psychoanalytic / insight-oriented therapy
Nervous system-informed approaches
EMDR (beginning training and integration)
For individuals, this means we explore emotional patterns, relationship dynamics, early attachment experiences, and protective strategies that may be keeping you stuck — always at a pace that feels safe and manageable.
Do you offer couples therapy in Parker, CO?
Yes. I provide couples therapy in Parker, CO and virtually throughout Colorado.
My couples work is rooted in Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFCT), an evidence-based approach grounded in attachment science. I am currently on the certification track for EFCT.
Couples therapy focuses on understanding the cycle you get caught in — the pursuing, withdrawing, defensiveness, or shutdown — and helping you build emotional safety and secure connection.
I do not take sides. We focus on the pattern, not the person.
What happens in the first session?
Your first session is a chance for us to get to know each other.
We’ll explore what’s bringing you in, your relationship history, and what you hope will change. There is no pressure to share everything at once. Therapy is collaborative and paced thoughtfully.
My goal is to create a space where you feel understood, not judged.
Do you offer in-person or online therapy?
I offer:
• In-person therapy in Parker, CO
• Online therapy throughout Colorado
Both formats are effective. We can discuss what feels like the best fit for you.
What are your fees?
Individual Session (50 minutes): $[150]
Couples Session (50 minutes): $[165]
Longer couples sessions are available upon request.
Payment is due at the time of service.
Do you accept insurance?
I am currently [private pay / out-of-network].
If you have out-of-network benefits, I can provide a monthly superbill for you to submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement.
I recommend contacting your insurance provider to ask about:
Out-of-network mental health benefits
Reimbursement rates
Deductible requirements
If you have questions about this process, I’m happy to help you understand your options.
What if I’m nervous to start therapy?
That’s completely normal.
Starting therapy often means stepping into unfamiliar territory. We move slowly. You don’t have to have everything figured out. You just have to be willing to begin.
